University of Glasgow

The Dumfries campus of the University of Glasgow is home to the School of Social and Environmental Sustainability. Students can choose from an array of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including primary education, health and social policy, tourism and environmental science. It’s the best of both worlds, combining academic excellence with a beautiful location and a supportive community of staff and students.
We welcome students from 28 countries making for a diverse and vibrant student population and our programmes include career focused placements in the UK and overseas.
Rutherford McCowan is also home to the Glasgow University Dumfries Union (GUDU), a student led organisation that represents the students based at the University of Glasgow, Dumfries campus.
Their aim is to provide students a platform to interact on a social and professional level, and membership is free for all students. You can find out more on their website.
