University and College Campus

The Crichton Quarter is home to a unique, multi-institution academic campus offering a range of flexible full and part-time study opportunities in both further and higher education. The stunning environment and diverse study options attract local, national and international students, researchers and academics to Dumfries.

Dumfries & Galloway College, The University of Glasgow (UofG), the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), The Open University in Scotland (OU) and Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) all have a base on the Estate.

The academic institutions work in partnership with other members of the Crichton Campus Leadership Group (CCLG) including The Crichton Trust, the NHS, Dumfries and Galloway Council Council and The Crichton Foundation to meet the educational needs of local learners and to attract new students to the region.
