YEAR OF YOUNG PEOPLE LAUNCHED IN DUMFRIES & GALLOWAY

Representatives from The Crichton Trust were delighted to attend the official launch of the Year of Young People in Dumfries and Galloway on Friday night.

The launch took place in Annan with over 500 young people taking part in a lantern procession from Annan Academy through the town to Annan Athletic Football Club, where the local audience enjoyed musical performances from Annan and Lockerbie Academies as well as an impressive fireworks display to mark the launch.

Year of Young People aims to celebrate the personalities, talents and achievements of young people and The Crichton Trust is delighted to be working with local partners to provide support for Year of Young People initiatives in Dumfries and Galloway and looks forward to welcoming young people to Easterbrook Hall on The Crichton Estate in Dumfries as part of the planned programme of events.
