David has been a technology professional for over 30 years, working with many firms around the UK in a consultancy and advisory role. More recently his career has been at senior board level within the legal profession, responsible for developing and delivering leading edge technology first projects. His broad technical skill-set includes expertise in compliance, security, and auditing.
In his spare time he has supported many small businesses within Dumfries & Galloway; keen to ensure they have access to corporate technology skills to drive their business forward.
Beyond his professional career, David has been involved in a number of charities and local community projects, including chairing the local Community Association for several years. He is particularly proud of his involvement, along with many others, in a project to create a community nature reserve. This included the community purchase of 48 acres of land, planting of over 4,500 trees and providing accessible pathways.
David is keen to deliver community projects to support well-being and ensure a stable legacy for future generations to enjoy and develop.
Originally from the central belt, David has lived in the region for ten years.
