The Crichton Trust is committed to putting the wellbeing of its people, place, partners and planet at the heart of its operations and this was acknowledged today when The Trust was formally approved as a member of the Scottish Business Pledge network.
The Crichton Trust was delighted to receive news today that it has met the necessary criteria to become an approved Scottish Business Pledge partner. But what is the Scottish Business Pledge and what does it mean?
The Scottish Business Pledge is a values-led partnership between Government and business that is based on boosting productivity and competitiveness through fairness, equality and sustainable employment.
Making a commitment to the Scottish Business Pledge promotes fairness, equality, opportunity and innovation in Scotland, which in turn creates greater economic success and sustainable, inclusive growth.
It’s good for business and good for Scotland…
..and it’s good news for The Crichton Trust
Craig said: “This is great news for The Trust! Making the pledge requires businesses, like ours, to meet three core and at least five out of seven additional standards and although we always strive to do the best for our people, place, partners, planet and suppliers, this voluntary accreditation formally recognises our commitment and will ensure that we continuously review our operations to maintain our commitment to the pledge. This can only be a good thing!
We are delighted to be part of this forward-thinking network of businesses in Scotland and to play our part in taking Scotland to a new level.”
