LOCAL LINE UP FOR DOONHAME FESTIVAL

DOONHAME FESTIVAL, SEPTEMBER 5-7, 2019
The new Doonhame Festival will take place at The Crichton in Dumfries from the 5-7th September 2019. Following a few intense weeks, The Doonhame Festival team are excited to announce the line up for all the stages.
The focus on the line up has truly been local, with 43 of the 63 announced acts hailing from the region. The Criffel stage alone boasts 13 D&G based acts. “We wanted to focus on celebrating the region’s talent as well as bringing a fine mix of out of town acts to the festival” says Joint Festival Director Sandy Sweetman. “The creative team have had a difficult job on their hands as the timescale to programme such an event is usually closer to a year!”
Names in the Dance tent, Soul & Scooter Tents such as Big Miz, Dixon Avenue Basement Jams,Rebecca Vasmant, Craig Smith, Simon Cordiner, Dr No’s Legendary Ska Club , Mali & SugarKane
are more than equally matched by our own locally based DJ’s delivering their incredible talents.
“The brilliant ONR will be headlining the Criffel Stage on the Saturday night with 13 Crowes also managing to deliver a set on the Saturday for us, which we are absolutely delighted as they along
with Lee Clark, Les Ross, Jamie Roy, Easy Skankin’ Crew, Ki Creighton and many of the other acts chosen are flying the flag for D&G on a an international basis”.
