Knowledge Transfer Partnership: Digitalisation for Decarbonisation
The Crichton Trust and The University of Glasgow entered into a Knowledge Transfer Partnership in 2022 to review energy systems and processes at The Crichton in Dumfries.
Dr Sonam Norbu, originally from Bhutan, is employed by the partners as the KTP Research Associate and is tasked with developing a dynamic energy audit model of The Crichton. Sonam completed the final stages of a PhD at Herriot-Watt University in Edinburgh during the project.
In his role, Sonam has been focusing on identifying realistic decarbonisation pathways to NetZero and exploring the implementation of a multi-vectoral smart local energy monitoring system for The Crichton. Findings from the research have helped support the development and implementation of a decarbonisation Roadmap for The Crichton.
Watch the short video below to find out more about the project and the benefits of the KTP partnership.
