FROM BEES TO BEETROOT – A UKRAINIAN CULINARY EXPERIENCE

On Friday 25th November, we were delighted to host the Charity Ukrainian Gala Dinner here at The Crichton. On the evening, Ievgen Klopotenko, celebrity chef from Ukraine served the delights of Ukraine in the form of a 6-course gourmet dinner at Easterbrook Hall.

The menu remained top secret until the evening of the event, but, by all accounts, was a fantastic culinary experience and one that our trustee, Sheena Horner, wants to experience all over again!

Sheena, who is also the Food Group Co-ordinator for Food and Drink Dumfries and Galloway, joined colleagues and partners at Easterbrook Hall for the evening and has since shared her experience in a blog entitled; From Bees to Beetroot – A Culinary Experience.

Check out Sheena’s blog and photographs below.

What a fantastic experience and thanks to Sheena for sharing it with us!

Proceeds from the event, organised by Andrew from Beer without Borders, was arranged to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine, so thank you to everyone who supported it.
