The UCI World Cycling Championships are coming to Dumfries between the 9th and 12th of August. The Crichton will be the location for the para-cycling road races on the 11th and 12th of August.

The Individual Road Race pits riders against each other in an all-out battle for supremacy of the roads of Dumfries.

Para-cyclists ride the exact same events under the same rules as their non-disabled counterparts and the Para-Cycling classification system determines which Para-cyclists are eligible to compete in different categories depending on the impairment. You can find out more about the wider events and the races taking part in Dumfries on the UCI website. The full race schedule can be viewed here.
