Part of the RSGS Inspiring People talks programme. Orkney: A Special Way of Life by Richard Clubley.

After moving permanently to the islands he had always dreamed of, Richard Clubley set out to capture the experience of life on Orkney, from the history of Neolithic sites to a future in renewable energy. He tells stories of countless Orcadians, looks closely at Stone Age tombs and stone circles, and talks about the Arctic explorers who watered here. He takes to the Outer Islands to meet the people who live there and to tell their stories, shares rich descriptions of the islands, and transports us to this fascinating and special way of life.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite or on the door; RSGS Members and students are entitled to free entry on the door – all subject to availability.
