This event is organised by Japan Exchange Teaching Alumni Association (JETAA) Scotland in partnership with The Consulate General of Japan in Edinburgh.

This is a cross-cultural community festival celebrating Japan-Scotland connections.

It will feature Japanese and Scottish traditional arts & crafts, photography, music, dance, sport, manga contest for school age children and Cosplay for under 30 years of age, (both with prizes for top 3 contestants) story-telling, authentic food and academic presentations.

The festival is officially supported by The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.

Visitors and volunteers will enjoy the event’s welcoming spirit as Japanese and Scottish participants work side by side to share traditions, stories, and skills.

Dumfries Museum will display their Japanese collection in connection with the festival.

Strong emphasis is placed on running a sustainable event and this year we are also joined by the participants who care for our marine and coastal environment.
