DOORS OPEN DAYS 2022 VISITOR SURVEY
The Crichton Trust is delighted to be opening the doors to the Crichton Memorial Church and Crichton Central on Sunday 4th September as part of Doors Open Days 2022.
CRICHTON CENTRAL – OPEN SUNDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER 1-4PM: Crichton Central is our new cafe and co-working space (formerly Fresco cafe in the Criffel View building). Following months of refurbishment, Crichton Central is open to the public for brunch, coffee, lunches and events with seating outside on the lawn, under the terrace or inside in the cafe and lounge. New meeting rooms, flexispace, co-working spaces and memberships are now available. It is a stunning transformation and Doors Open Day 2022 provides visitors with an opportunity to go beyond the public cafe and to visit the meeting rooms and co-working spaces. The lounge and lawn at Crichton Central can also be booked for events. Crichton Central is also home to DCR Online and The Scotland 5G Centre. Sarah-Jane Burns, our Business Development Manager, will be on hand to show visitors around and to share information about the building and its new spaces and memberships. Find out more on the Crichton Central website.
THE CRICHTON MEMORIAL CHURCH – OPEN SUNDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER 5-7PM (PRESENTATIONS AT 5PM AND 6PM): The Crichton Memorial Church is stunning inside and out and is a fitting memorial to Elizabeth Crichton. You can read more about the church in The Crichton Magazine including features about the stained glass window and the organ. Visitors are free to drop in and explore the church from 5-7pm and/or to attend a short presentation in the church with tour guide Kathleen Cronie at 5pm or 6pm. As well as gaining an insight into the history of The Crichton and the church, visitors will also hear more about The Crichton Trust’s involvement in Year of Stories 2022, browse exhibition panels and watch short video clips from Up the Middle Road: Crichton Stories of Recovery and Resilience.
