Part of the RSGS Inspiring People talks programme. Walking with Nomads by Alice Morrison.

In 2019, adventurer and explorer Alice Morrison began an epic walk across Morocco with three amazing guides and six camels, never imagining that she would be finishing it in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. It was an extraordinary adventure. Close encounters with quicksand, a heart-stopping ten days of walking through landmines, and the ever-present threat of running out of water dogged her footsteps across the Sahara. And she learned how Covid affected even the remotest of communities in the Atlas Mountains, with no one to buy the sheep and goats they rely on.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite or on the door; RSGS Members and students are entitled to free entry on the door – all subject to availability.
