Tuesday 9th June 2026; 11am – 12.30pm

Venue – Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries

Sir Edwin Lutyens was an English architect known for imaginatively adapting traditional architectural styles to the requirements of his era, he was also the namesake and godson of the famous Victorian artist Edwin Landseer.

Lutyens played an instrumental role in the construction of New Delhi which would later serve as the seat of the Government of India. In recognition of his contribution, a part of New Delhi is known as “Lutyens’ Delhi”

Lutyens’ work always displays a lightness of touch which enhanced by his mastery of architectural principles, and his meticulous attention to detail, gave us some of the most beautiful buildings of the 20th century.
