The Farmers’ Choir in Concert – Supporting Maggie’s Dumfries
Join The Farmers’ Choir for a special evening of musical theatre and popular music at Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries, raising funds towards the development of a new Maggie’s Centre in Dumfries.
Formed in 2013 for the SAYFC (Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs) 75th Anniversary Concert, the Farmers’ Choir first brought together 160 members for a one-off performance at the OVO Hydro, Glasgow. Since then, they have performed at many events across Scotland, including regular appearances at the Royal Highland Show, raising money for many charitable causes along the way.
Members come from across Scotland including Ayrshire, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Campbeltown, Dumfries & Galloway, Fife, Lanarkshire, Loch Lomond and Perthshire – making this a truly unique choir.
Maggie’s Dumfries is currently in the development and planning stage and will be situated in the grounds of DGRI. Fittingly, this project coincides with the 30th Anniversary of Maggie’s Centres, making this concert especially meaningful.
