Elaine Hunter
TrusteeCurrently Director of Property & Facilities at Edinburgh Napier University since 2021, Elaine has worked in senior property roles across the public transport sector managing diverse portfolios throughout the UK (Network Rail, FirstGroup plc, Virgin Trains East Coast and London North Eastern Railway).
Elaine has experience in leading multi-disciplinary property teams providing strategic estate management, with a proven track record delivering major property projects, while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships and providing a strong customer and commercial focus.
Elaine graduated in with an LLB Hons in Public International Law followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Glasgow, then completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Property Appraisal from the University of the West of Scotland.
Elaine is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors specialising in commercial property.
Whilst based in Glasgow, Elaine has a long connection with Dumfries & Galloway, having spent many childhood holidays in Portpatrick. Elaine is keen to support The Crichton legacy both now and for the future, recognising the benefits that the estate provides for the local community and the wider region.
