The Crichton has an abundance of open spaces suitable for a range of activities whether organised by a group, part of a training event or just part of your daily/weekly routine for walks, runs and dog-walks. The playing fields are available to hire for football training and matches and are extremely well used by both student and community clubs. The Crichton is the perfect playground for schools and nurseries, families and community groups for walks, sports days, fun days, bike rides, BBQs and picnics.
The Crichton grounds are also popular for weddings, music festivals, outdoor theatre shows, storytelling events and sporting events and the weekly Parkrun event also takes place on site on a Saturday morning.
For strolls, bike rides and family playtime just turn up and enjoy.

Parking is free on site and you have a choice of cafes and restaurants to enjoy as part of your visit.
