Tricia Hunter

Tricia was Programme Director for D&G Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Project until retirement in 2019.  Previously she was the founder and MD of Minerva People Ltd, an independent training and recruitment business based in Dumfries for 18 years.  Her career has spanned nearly 30 years within the training and vocational field working with a vast range of employers in the private, public and third sectors.

Tricia has served on a variety of Boards over the years including D&G Chamber of Commerce, D&G Strategic Partnership, D&G Young Enterprise, Scottish Training Federation, President of Girlguiding Dumfriesshire and was an Employer Ambassador for the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

Moving to Dumfries in 1980 she has enjoyed bringing up a family, being part of the community, and is proud to call this Region, home.  Tricia has a positive and proactive attitude to networking and tries hard to bring the best out of people, businesses and communities by listening to and gaining understanding of their needs, bringing in new ideas and initiatives that work well through partnership engagement and hopes to continue this for the benefit of The Crichton.
