Bruce Halliday

Trustee

Bruce is a general practitioner. He retired from Greyfriars Medical Centre, Castle Street Dumfries, in 2021 having worked there as a partner for 23 years. Bruce continues to work in the Out of Hours service based at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. He is also working more remotely on the Scottish islands, having worked on Jura in 2023 and has work arranged on Shetland and Colonsay this year.

Bruce was born in Dumfries, attending Dumfries Academy, prior to obtaining his medical degree at Edinburgh University.

Bruce has always been a fan of the Crichton and is keen to help the Trust maximise the potential of The Crichton for the local economy and educational opportunities.
