Crichton Parkrun

Crichton Parkrun takes place every Saturday morning at 9.30am from The Crichton Memorial Church. Parkrun is a national network of 38, 5k walking, jogging and running routes and we are delighted to be able to host the Dumfries event here at The Crichton every Saturday morning at 9.30am.

Participants are invited to walk, run or jog in a timed event and records are updated after every event to help participants monitor their own progress if they wish.

Parkrun is a free event for people of all ages and abilities but children under 11 years old must be accompanied at all times. All participants must pre-register prior to taking part or volunteering and are required to bring along their personal barcode to any parkrun event they participate in.

Crichton Parkrun was launched by a group of dedicated volunteers led by Volunteer Director, Emma Eden, in January 2018 and run in association with The Crichton Trust.

Visitors to Crichton park run are particularly complimentary of our beautiful grounds, as well as the friendly team of volunteers who greet them when they arrive in Dumfries.

The facilities on site at The Crichton exceed expectations for parkrun participants and include an onsite hotel, ample free parking, stunning scenery and a warm welcome to Easterbrook Bistro, Bar & Spa with access to toilets, coffee, water, breakfast, lunch and even a swimming pool and spa!

A separate Junior parkrun event also takes place in Dumfries every week, but please note this takes place at a different venue and is organised by a different team of volunteers.
