It’s been an exciting time at The Crichton as Ben, Hamish and Logan all graduated last week – congratulations to them all!
They have been part of The Crichton’s team now for many months as part of Project Search – with Ben and Hamish regular fixtures in both our Crichton Central and Bistro restaurant, and Logan working with our gardening and grounds team.
Since its inception, Project SEARCH Dumfries and Galloway has been dedicated to providing individuals with ASD with the necessary skills and opportunities to thrive in the workplace. Through a comprehensive training and internship programme, participants are empowered to develop their professional abilities, gain valuable work experience, and ultimately secure meaningful employment.
Fiona Rands, Head of Venues said:
“Ben and Hamish have truly grown in their roles, their confidence and ability is a real asset to The Crichton’s team with their enthusiasm in all that they do.”
Ben and Hamish will continue to work with the Trust now they have graduated, so for all the customers who have come to know their faces will continue to see them here and growing in their roles.
Gordon Clark, Head of Property Services, had the following to say about Logan’s role within the grounds team: “It has been great to have another pair of enthusiastic hands in Logan on the team, to learn, develop and understand our historic greenspaces”
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Logan, Ben and Hamish on their graduation, and to thank them for the fantastic work they have put in here at The Crichton so far. We wish all of them the very best for their futures.
