Well-loved community choir Cairn Chorus bring their family friendly Spring concert to Dumfries. In the beautiful setting of the Crichton gardens, follow their Pied Piper musicians through the tree trail to a special performance area for our celebration of all things arboreal.

The hour long programme was inspired by the late Sam Todd who lived in Moniaive, Glencairn. He quietly planted hundreds if not thousands of trees in the area.  ’Sing to the Trees’ is a song cycle filled with sung poetry from Coleridge and Yeats to Wendell Berry celebrating the lives of trees and the importance and fragility of the beautiful landscape that surrounds us.  Feel free to bring your own blanket and a picnic to enjoy while you listen and experience a wonderful and inspiring afternoon out.
