The session will be the third in a series led by the University of Glasgow which seeks to address potential future global shocks and understand what more we can do as a society to build resilience into the future. The first session, on 3rd October focused on the health lessons we can learn from the pandemic and the second session, on 24th October focused on future social care challenges we might face and what we might do differently following all we have learnt from Covid-19.

The event at the Crichton Campus will consider how communities, local businesses and grassroot organisations mobilised in the wake of the pandemic lockdown, as well as the profound and long-term impact of lockdown restrictions on local businesses and communities.  The session will consider contributions from our three distinguished panelists, Professor Russel Griggs OBE, Chair, South of Scotland Enterprise; Lorraine McGrath, Chief Executive, Simon Community Scotland and Pippa Milne, Chief Executive, Argyll and Bute Council.  The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session chaired by former Cabinet Secretary for Government Business and Constitutional Relations of Scotland in the Scottish Government, Professor Michael Russell.

You can register to attend this free event via Eventbrite here.
