As part of The Crichton’s ambition to get to Net Zero we will be hosting a series of events and initiatives throughout the year to encourage members of The Crichton Community to make active travel choices, benefiting the environment, their health and their pocket. This is of particular relevance in the current fuel crisis.

Could you change how you travel and make a positive contribution to your health and the environment?

The first event will take place on Monday 25th October at Crichton Central.

During Crichton Cycle Week, we encourage you to consider cycling to work, college or university and we are hosting a series of events and workshops that might be of interest.

Get a free coffee if you cycle to The Crichton from Crichton Central Café all week (before 12noon) 

There will also be a mini cycling festival from 12-3pm on Monday 25^th October where we will be hosting a range of local organisations and businesses and you can come and find out more about how you could make cycling and active travel part of your routine. From information on help buying a new bike, to how to keep safe on the road, and free skills training, we will have someone who can give you help and advice. We will have a range of bikes and active travel options for you to try. A mechanic will be on-site during the week to host Dr Bike sessions and get you to bike safely back on the road for free and we will have information about security and free security markings.
