A unique multi-institution campus

Elizabeth Crichton worked tirelessly for years to fulfill her husband’s dream of having a university in Dumfries. Despite her efforts, it was not to be and The Crichton became a world renowned psychiatric hospital instead.  Many years later, The Crichton became the base for not one, but several academic institutions delivering Higher National qualifications as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

  • Dear Kirsty and Fiona, Just to say, thank you so much for the delicious dinner last night.  There was a really good feel about the evening and it went so smoothly thanks to you and your staff’s courteous efficiency.  Thanks to you we had a very enjoyable conference all round. Many thanks, Diana (The Halo Trust)

Hi Kirsty, Just a note to say a huge thanks from us for hosting our event last week, our colleagues enjoyed using the Easterbrook Hall facilities again this year! The food at the dinner on the final evening was enjoyed by all. Thanks again, Carol (The Halo Trust)

  • An email to thank you, and the Easterbrook Hall team, very much for all your assistance with arrangements (both before and on the day) for the event on Wednesday.   Everything went smoothly and our guests were especially appreciative of the lovely lunch with a lot of complements following. Having help readily available for technical hitches and managing the room partition worked extremely well. It was very much a success and we look forward to our second event next year.
