DOONHAME FESTIVAL 2021 CANCELLED

We are deeply saddened by the news that the Doonhame Festival has had to make the extremely difficult decision to cancel the 2021 festival. Further changes to COVID-19 restrictions this week, has made it impossible for the organisers to run the festival this year.

DOONHAME FESTIVAL ANNOUNCEMENT 16/07/21
Gwilym Gibbons, Chief Executive of The Crichton Trust said: “The organisers of the Doonhame Festival have done all that is possible, and in their power, to design an event that was as safe as possible in these difficult circumstances. I have been hugely impressed by their professionalism, dedication and careful attention to detail to create, what was certain to be, a fantastic event. Regrettably, circumstances, restrictions and guidance have changed in the past few days due to the growing concern around COVID-19. This means that the plan to relax physical distancing at events, is no longer permitted and leaves the Doonhame team with no option but to cancel their event at short notice.
Although cancellation is not what any one of us would have wished for, I support their difficult decision and share their disappointment. I appreciate this is sad news for everyone who was looking forward to coming along, but I hope you will join us in getting behind and supporting the Doonhame Festival team at this difficult time.
I wish the Doonhame Festival all the best for 2022, but in the meantime, get vaccinated, observe physical distancing, wash your hands and wear a face covering. We all need to do whatever we can to stay safe, protect each other and the NHS.”
DOONHAME FESTIVAL 2022 – 15th and 16th July 2022 – look out for more information coming soon.
