The Crichton Heritage Walking Route - Launched 30 August 2012 (download leaflet)

The walk takes approximately one hour and takes the walker through the University Campus, Business Park, gardens and around Crichton Hall. Shorter sections of some 20 minutes are indicated. Some 8 heritage boards give a fascinating insight into the history of the Crichton Royal Hospital, key figures associated with it and more recent developments. There is a quiz for children.

This is a partnership project with NHS Dumfries and Galloway, the Crichton Trust and Crichton Development Company Ltd supported with grant aid from the Working Well Challenge Fund and Solway Heritage and Shanks Waste Management Ltd through the Landfill Communities Fund.  ENJOY!
